Welcome

Over the past year I have been building things with black iron pipe.
So I could share with family and friends, I decided to create this blog.

Small Black Iron Pipe Christmas Tree

Fun and easy to make. Lowe's and Michaels had everything I needed.

Layout on the floor at Lowe's

All 1/2" pipe
1- floor flange
4 - screws ( big enough to secure the floor flange but not go through the plywood)
1- 3/4" x 14" x  37" plywood ( can use another size but make sure it's big enough so it won't tip over easily)
1- 6" pipe attached to floor flange
4 - 4 way crosses
4 -2 1/2 "pipe
2 - 8" pipe
2 - 6" pipe
2 - 4" pipe
2 - 2 " pipe
8 - galvanized end caps ( can use black end caps as well )
1 star with wire end ( easiest thing I found that screws right onto the top )

Black Pipe Assembly

1- string of multicolored lights (green cord,140 count , 49.8 ft, 36 " lead wire). Wrap from inside to the outside and up and down the pipe branches. Be creative because you have plenty of lights

Plug in ( I prefer a power strip ) and adjust light positions to make sure the outline is good and the tree doesn't have any dark spots. Add ornaments if you like

1- Christmas tree skirt

Finished tree

Place in a good safe spot and enjoy.

Disclaimer : Build at your own risk.
Follow all manufacturer electrical instructions for lighted items
